Dear Reche Canyon Elementary Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Reche Canyon Elementary School. As a lifelong resident of Grand Terrace and a proud product of the Colton Joint Unified School District—having attended Grand Terrace Elementary, Terrace Hills Middle School, and graduating from Colton High School in 1993—it is an incredible honor to return home and lead Team Coyote. My entire educational journey has been rooted locally, including earning my Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, teaching credential, and administrative credential right here in our region.

Prior to joining CJUSD in 2021, I spent 12 years serving in the Redlands Unified School District in a variety of roles. I’ve been a classroom teacher, ELD (English Language Development) teacher, Speech and Debate coach, club advisor, and a Teacher on Assignment. These diverse experiences have helped shape my belief in the power of education to transform lives and the importance of supporting every child’s growth—academically, socially, and emotionally. I am thoroughly committed to using research-backed instructional practices and making ethical, student-centered decisions in all aspects of leadership.

As I begin this exciting new chapter at Reche Canyon Elementary, I want to express how deeply committed I am to building strong, meaningful partnerships with students, staff, families, and our wider community. Together, we will continue to create an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where every Coyote can thrive.
